@lyncia straight razors are infinite, but they take the most technique and also a good technique to sharpen them. you need to strop every time and sharpen every so often. kickass tool tho and depend on nothing, and work great once you learn them.
disposables suck on every point including costs.
safety razors are the middle point for me—not as versatile or supply-chain-independent as straight razors but much better than disposables, and the only part you need to keep buying are the metal blades, which are cheap and plastic-free. you don't have to sharpen and the technique is easier, though a notch more cautious than disposables.

@lyncia make sure to get a brand with a good reputation and a close-shaving model (sometimes called "aggressive"—I find them actually gentler, since they take less passes to get a close shave). then be patient the first couple weeks or so. try to shave during or after hot showers, let your skin recover a day the first few times. soon you'll know whether they work for you :)
