Pet peeve: app stores which have a 'free' filter but where that filter shows almost entirely things that are functionally useless without spending money anyway because it's just about the initial purchase price

If anyone actually cared, there'd be (exclusion) filters for "with ads", "requires subscription", "has microtransactions", etc.
