i have over 440 gibibytes of youtube archival videos that have gone private, unlisted, or restricted, and i do not feel like keeping it around anymore because it takes up so much space...

@joepie91 my organization is a disorganization and a size-significant part of it is a week-long livestream which is a fragmented mess

but if uploading the mess as-is is "good enough" then i'll consider it (after finding a method of uploading to IA not using the web interface)

(i also say over 440 gibibytes, i stopped saving newer videos based on conditions because i am running out of space so bad, i don't even know how much of a backlog i have)

@jacksonchen666 Maybe this one? github.com/kngenie/ias3upload

It accepts a CSV file of stuff to upload and then does all of that. I haven't gotten around to using it yet though, but from what I know it does what it says on the tin.

(Uploading with carefully-crafted metadata is of course the nicest option, but uploading it with minimal metadata is still better than not uploading at all! Probably including the video URL and the channel name in the description would be helpful though, and grouping together chunks of the same video into one item.)

@joepie91 there's a bunch of .info.json files along with the videos, which contain basically all the metadata.

now that i think about it, i could theoretically reorganize it based on that and filenames, but i'm running more on fumes than spoons right now so later
