Once I get a stable place to live, I should start growing onions.
It's apparently so easy I did it by accident.

And wild animals don't care for them, so you shouldn't have to worry about that.

@Tourma @flesh Onion flies do, though, so it's not entirely without its problems. Though that's unlikely to be a problem if you grow them at a small scale.
One of the more amusing things to me is that apparently, the smell of onions repels carrot flies, and the smell of carrots... repels onion flies.
