@domo Ah but those are the dimensions for the whole thing, not just the grill plate - for the Silvercrest one, that would be 36,5 x 35,7 x 15,5 cm; so still a bit smaller but the grill plates might actually be the same size!
This is good to know though, in case I ever need to replace the grill plates - I suspect that the Philips ones might work on this model too!
Now I am left wondering whether Philips manufactured the Silvercrest one too, or whether some third party just cloned the Philips one...
@joepie91 it's gonna be hilarious if we do actually have the same contact grill but you made out like a bandit paying half the price 
@domo Well I don't have the integrated thermometer or the fancy digital display though :p
But yeah, nowadays I tend to look at the Lidl offerings first by default because really, really often that is exactly what it works out to - something functionally identical to the brand name stuff but at half the price (and often with a year more warranty...)
The Lidl option isn't *universally* the better option, but often enough that I always check first
