There's two types of woodworking instructors: "here's the $10k of equipment you need to build a cabinet" and "eh, a butter knife will probably get the job done with enough patience"
It is very satisfying to watch videos of people doing woodworking with $10k worth of tools. But I wonder if it might also be satisfying to watch people who are very good at it do it with minimal tools.

@MegaMichelle I definitely prefer the latter! There's often so much ingenuity in those videos, so many "oh!" moments, that you just don't get from the "expensive workshop" videos.

Oh yeah, there's this guy! He's going through the development of technology from scratch.

I don't think I know how to find the "making things with simple tools" videos except, like, Primitive Technology.
