advice needed re:medical shit, kinda freaking out

About an hour ago I had a brief flash in my left eye and my left side of the body started feeling weird, wouldn't really call it numb-numb but... idk

I looked it up and apparently it could've been a stroke or a TIA but I'm not sure and I'd go to the hospital but then I'd have to spend a lot of money and idk what to do ;-;

I'm freaking the fuck out, pretty much nobody seems to think it was a stroke or TIA cause I'm too young and have no family history of this and don't even have high blood pressure but it's freaking me the fuck out ;-;

I really need some advice fuck

re: advice needed re:medical shit, kinda freaking out

@hazelnot "Too young" is mainly a statistical thing, making it unlikely but not *impossible* that it would've been a stroke. I would definitely get it looked at if at all possible, though probably best to talk to your own GP/doctor first (if you have one) rather than going directly to the hospital. They will probably tell you whether a hospital trip is needed.

re: advice needed re:medical shit, kinda freaking out

@hazelnot (Also there are a lot of things that are kind of like a stroke, less severe/urgent but still needing medical attention because it suggests some other underlying issue, which is why it's a good idea to get it checked out. This probably wasn't a full-on stroke judging from your description.)

@joepie91 yeah... I felt like I was having a heart attack not long ago and went to the hospital and *that* was nothing so idk...

Kinda feel like I've been in a non-stop panic attack for the last two weeks so maybe it's just anxiety, idk

@hazelnot I would still get it checked out regardless, if at all possible. Anxiety is no joke either, and can *cause* health issues too...

@joepie91 Mnyeah, will have to wait until at least Monday for that though and then I'll have to call my GP and see when she's able to see me
