Anyone have recommendations for queer hopepunk books, other than those in that hopepunk bundle a while ago?

(Sidenote, if you've *published* queer hopepunk books, please also tell me!)

@joepie91 it's a new subgenre on me (sounds right up my street though) but maybe "Defying Doomsday" and "Rebuilding Tomorrow" fit the bill? Two collections of short stories centring disabled and chronically ill characters defying the odds in apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic scenarios, including some queer folk iirc

@joepie91 A Half-built Garden by @r_emrys has queer main characters and while the central romance in The Lost Cause by @pluralistic is a man and a woman there's a lot of queerness around it

@joepie91 Maybe my book fits the genre? I wasn't thinking thinking of hopepunk when I wrote it, but it definitely has a focus on community building and fighting for a better world. It's in my profile and pinned toots if you're interested. I ought to look for books like that too, so thanks for getting people to give recs!

@joepie91 Not sure what hopepunk bundle you are referencing, but Becky Chambers Monk & Robot duology is very good and, I think, fits that subgenre?

@hye It does! Though I've already read that one 🙂 Thanks nevertheless!
