I mean... yeah? It sucks if you're stuck using closed source stuff, but as long as you allow them to close the source, you're kind of up shit creek. Enjoy your $500 license fee, I guess? Might want to get on making closed source code illegal, so they can't keep extorting disabled people like that.

Just trying to offer some consolation. Go ahead and promote closed source software, if you think that's respectful of the disabled population.
@cy It's not "consolation" to talk down on people like that and essentially blame them for "allowing them" to do something that they don't even have control over. It's gloating. "Well, but *I* don't have that problem over here in open-source land..."
If you think closed-source code should be illegal, great, I completely agree! So go fight for that yourself instead of placing that expectation on someone else.
