@silvermoon82 I have done something like this a long, *long* time ago: https://github.com/joepie91/wpcom-to-jekyll - it takes an export XML from wordpress.com and turns it into a set of Jekyll files (which are basically just Markdown files with some metadata/structure).

I have no idea if it still works though.
