@ai6yr This is unfortunately consistent with their general stance on open platforms ("the openness is not a factor, we care about whether it does what we need", as per someone involved in the Mozilla IRC shutdown), and is a big part of why I lost any hope in Mozilla a long time ago.

What got me in the end was looking at their source code and realizing that easily half of it is nothing but telemetry. Much of it's just measuring performance and bugs, but keyboard activity? Whether you're using a credit card field? How long you view ads? They've got folders like "MarketingPartners/BrainwashingExperiments/" and it's just creepy as all hell.
