@Rhube@wandering.shop Aha. A Generative AI sponsor. Guess that explains why they're suddenly so pro-generative-AI... I'd been wondering why they made that statement.
(Not that they apparently didn't already have a sketchy reputation, but this sure is an obvious connection to make)

@joepie91 @Rhube Also why, even though they rolled out the "AI is such a large topic, too big to endorse or disendorse in its entirety" argument, they don't seem to have articulated any boundaries.
Because using it to help edit, or to generate ideas that you use as a jumping off point that you write yourself is one thing, and an argument could be made for it.
But using it to write the whole novel would seem to defeat the purpose of the whole event, but they don't seem interested in making that distinction.
