When I tried repairing this Bosch IXO power screwdriver this weekend I suspected mine was cabled backwards (+/- opposite way to iFixit and YouTube videos), but I diligently followed the guides. Didn’t work

Switched it, and now it’s good 🙂 My intuition was right!

@jon When there's a lot of current (it's called a power tool for a reason), soldering in the battery makes more sense then a questionable plug and socket connection. Soldering batteries with pre-welded soldering terminals isn't really an obstacle.

@deBaer @jon This is nonsense. Reliable high-power connectors have been widely available for decades *and are used in most other powertools*. Those use spring contacts for a reason. The problem you're describing does not exist.
