#AskFedi: If you are (sometimes) without a reliable internet connection on at least one of your devices, or know someone who is: if you could describe your ideal way of installing new software, and it would magically exist overnight, what would it be? 
I'm particularly interested in perspectives from the Global South, although if you fit the definition above for some other reason, you can also respond! And if you only have internet on some devices or locations (eg. on phone but not on laptop), I'd like to hear your thoughts too.

Starlink, internet wherever you need it.
3 foot dish you can put internet anywhere you can see the sky. auto-adjusts to current location (even mounted on RV or boat).
Secondary, Thumb Drive or external drive travels back to civilization, load up with whatever is needed, install from drive.
3rd, host an update server (either windows or linux) , similar setup to #2, just have a local LAN router , map update server to local server instead.
4th Mesh network, have to work with your neighbors to form a chain of network links to make it back to a connection point. 100m apart
5th point to point lan link, microwave or laser links, line of sight, can be up to 3km apart or even longer with higher power.

I live on a pacific island. they have power outages for days, internet interruptions for weeks, and no internet at all in some rural areas. so yes.
I personally use Starlink + local fiber connection + cell phone connection at home, and have to travel to other city hotels to get internet at times.
