@byte At least for NixOS, I would only partly agree - a lot of stuff in NixOS land is also designed very clearly For Infrastructure(tm) and there's not a lot of stuff going on around themeability and customizability for example, with eg. Plasma themes still being a moderate pain to even get working
@byte I think the technical foundation is much more amenable to *making* something that is genuinely fun to use, but you still have to bring your own fun so to say
