Are there any anti-capitalist tech collectives that don't have a toxic culture, and that don't throw accessibility, reliability or the public commons under the bus? :boost_requested:

@joepie91
what are you specifically looking for?
i guess everyones idea how how something should be ideally structured is slightly different?

@serapath I don't have especially strong preferences beyond the things stated above; I'd like to explore the things that exist, and see what makes sense to me (as I may well be missing things).

It's just that a lot of the anti-capitalist tech things I've run into so far have one of the above issues; and while some of those are not an issue for small projects, they're definitely an issue when trying to encourage broader adoption of anti-capitalist systems.

So for reasons of spoons conservation, I'd like to explore some collectives that don't have a built-in opposition to palatability by the general public

@joepie91 what is an example of a "built in" opposition to palatability by the general public. I wonder what that even means.

It sounds important though. Do you have an example or more details?

@joepie91

You mention there is no problem with small, but with big orgs. I personally consider big orgs an anti pattern in itself and believe the answer to many issues it many interoperable small projects which work hand in hand and might flexibly change the way they work with each other, which to me is some sort of inherent democratic aspect.
Organise towards minimizing, if possible, eliminating the need for any big top down decisions. If not possible then at least always strive towards it.

@serapath I'm fine with any recommendations that fit the criteria in the original post; I'll be able to do any further filtering myself :)

@joepie91
yeah. i dont really understand your requirements and am clueless of what you are looking for

@joepie91 i mean, i have q vague feel8ng, but then you say, some or even many have issues and you wonder if there are some without, but i dont really understand the details of what that is
