Idle thought: when people talk about how BASIC-era computers were so much easier to tinker with, I wonder how much that wasn't because it was somehow easier or more accessible, but because back then computers still shipped with high-quality documentation on their internals
@joepie91 I think the simpler a machine is, the easier it is to write excellent documentation, so kinda both
