re: Matrix governance shit, rant
This marks the end of my attempts at fixing the governance process, I guess.
The MSC is here, in case you want to read it: https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-spec-proposals/pull/4073/
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
Also growing increasingly tired of the "the Matrix spec is a collaborative process, and we would like more people to get involved in development" refrain
Well maybe you shouldn't have these kind of fucking barriers that you can only pass if you are abled or it's your full-time job, then
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
@joepie91 Oh yes, that's sadly a fairly common answer from what I've seen. Also if you for any reason miss a window where the proposal gets actively considered, it will get yeeted to the end of queue. (I've seen that happen with custom emotes)
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
@joepie91@social.pixie.town I'm shocked you managed to put up with their bullshit for so long
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
@joepie91 you are extremely shortening the reality of what went down in the foundation room here...
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
@MTRNord I have also left out the several years of private conversations with Travis and Matthew where I gave them practically paint-by-numbers solutions to get out of the hole they'd dug themselves into, which were then promptly ignored.
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
@joepie91 Tbh you are currently looking like an egocentric person. Especially as you always in public complain about back-channelling but now that you want to push something through the process you complain that they dont backchannel for it...
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
@MTRNord I am not expecting them to 'backchannel'. I am expecting them to *prioritize* it. To be proactive about the thing that is literally meant to save their broken and falling-apart processes.
I *deliberately* made it an MSC *because* I didn't want to backchannel this.
This is the actual problem here: https://social.pixie.town/@joepie91/111736936127357679
re: Matrix governance shit, rant
As I was told: "it's not tracked as something which needs comment in the next 3 months."
Okay then. Guess you don't actually want your capacity issues to get resolved.
