I would recommend that any person who is able to, should attend a protest at least once, for whatever cause interests them.

Not because I think it will change anything by itself, but because there is probably no faster way to learn whose interests cops and other authorities represent, and you can see it entirely with your own eyes, no need to trust anyone's reporting.

@joepie91 The first protest I ever went to a female cop walked up to me and asked me where I'd come from and if I was there for the protest.

But I knew instinctively that you don't volunteer ANY information to cops, no matter how benign or "friendly" they appear to be. So I just ignored them.

@joepie91 I was attending UCSC in early 2020 and now every time I see a cop at like any place of education I hear "cops off campus, cola in my bank account" being chanted by hundreds of people and it's honestly kinda great
