I'm seeing more and more desperate posts from people who feel like even fedi isn't a safe place for them to be in anymore, with instance admins being happy to invite Facebook in and put other people at risk in doing so.
Are you fucking happy now, "we must be open and grow" people? Are you happy that the *one* place trying to safeguard vulnerable people, now also caters primarily to your desires instead? Was it fucking worth it?

Oh and don't go "well I didn't know that things would turn out this way" - if you'd fucking *listened* when people expressed their distress instead of looking for the nearest argument to dismiss it, you'd have known
