@crashglasshouses@kolektiva.social @luci My experience is that POI data on OSM tends to be quite out-of-date, because most companies don't publish their changes to it, they only submit them to Google :/

@luci @crashglasshouses@kolektiva.social Not on OSM anyway, OSM explicitly disallows imports from proprietary sources like Google Maps for copyright reasons :/

(Whether it's *illegal* is debatable, but OSM doesn't want to take the risk)

and then people just distribute databases because that’s also how you’re meant to obtain legal game roms
