I know that there are reasons things are the way they are and the reasons are not always obvious to the end consumer, but it's wild that I get a shipment from Amazon and one from Ikea at the same time in the same size boxes, and one has three items rattling around with some plastic filler, and one has a billion things neatly tetrissed together. And I don't need to tell you which is which.
@maya Living in a country where Amazon isn't really a thing, I'm actually not sure which is which?
@joepie91 oh :) the Ikea one was the tetrissed one
@maya As in, almost every single online order I made with them had *something* wrong with the shipping or packaging, to the point that they shipped a nightstand in retail box, which arrived damaged, which I complained about, and they re-sent a new one *in the exact same way* which of course also arrived damaged in the exact same way...
@maya Oh the stores themselves are fine here (at least the ones I've seen), it's really just the e-commerce side that's a total mess, which is all run from one centralized place. They give off every impression that they don't *really* want to be doing e-commerce, and had to be dragged into it kicking and screaming
@joepie91 that's so weird! here they are like... the stores are the cleanest, the employees are all helpful... they're dealing with supply chain issues so they have even upped their display arrangement game... I wonder why it's so different
