@schratze Well sort of, another problem is that grass has comparatively very shallow roots, and many weeds have much deeper roots that can draw nutrients and water from deeper into the ground

@schratze This is actually also why there's some controversy around horsetail - yes, it is invasive and can suppress other plants and is very hard to get rid of, but it *also* is exceptionally good at drawing nutrients from deep down up to the top soil in otherwise poor-condition soil, and help to 'revive' it
