one day i will do a conference talk on how to as effectively as possible fuck with corporate lawyers and waste their time + corpo resources without consequences but i don't think now is the time yet

honestly the most important skill is to not let them intimidate you and play their game back at them, there is nothing they hate more than you knowing the rules

also company image is always the number 1 priority, almost all threats of legal consequences are bluffs unless suing you would be good for their image, this means any deadline they give you is arbitrary and you ideally just always take at least two days too long with anything they want from you

if they want you to do something to save their image it's not actually them who's in power, but you, if they make too broad demands make it clear you won't comply with all of it and ideally make demands back at them

whenever possible demand, in writing, a statement that whatever you did happened due to negligence on their part and refuse to do anything otherwise, they will most likely provide this, making it fairly hard for them to ever sue you in the future.
