@aeva@mastodon.social Well... they've been backpeddling already, offering "non-commercial" users the option to "opt out of the transition" and keep their old free plan with no billing "for the foreseeable future", so I think somebody over there finally woke up
Of course this is wayyyyyy too late and they've already lost the trust of everybody, and people seem to be using it mostly to get an extension of their migration timeline
@aeva@mastodon.social Oh and of course they're still sending migration threats to people who have already opted out, because apparently Google can't afford to do accurate statekeeping for a few thousand accounts
