I’ve had more and more people becoming demanding that I expand the scope of instruction and documentation when it comes to how to install Owncast. They want to know how to acquire a server, buy a domain name, setup DNS, and more things that are far outside the scope of the project. Often blaming me for purposefully misleading them because I didn’t tell them that they need a computer to run software on, or to have a domain name they need to acquire one. I can absolutely empathize with where they’re coming from, but one small project can only do so much. There’s literally no limit to how far the scope of education can go.
