I had big issues introducing profile fields to the existing design, just nothing looked quite right. So after lots of pondering and experimenting I tried out this layout on a whim (it's similar to mastodon 3.x profiles) and actually quite like what I ended up at

@f0x Maybe the right sidebar section with the long text can have an "expand" after a few lines? Could make it a little less overwhelming when there is a lot of text.
@ff0000 yeah I've considered it, but most bio's will be way shorter anyways, and it's kinda up to the user
@f0x That is certainly true, then you have to decide on what the threshold is (amount of characters, line breaks etc), making it more complex for yourself.
