i wonder if the disdain for stuff like frontend as "not real programming" etc just harkens back to [contempt culture](https://blog.aurynn.com/2015/12/16-contempt-culture), or what other factors are involved
they've (understandably) closed registrations for now, but just followed a bunch of cool-looking people from their profile directory!
oh hell yeah right after posting this I discovered https://front-end.social which seems like a really cool instance :D
