@f0x i've been thinking about this, because i had instinctive disagreements but i wanted to figure out why.
i feel like often, for me, reduced functionality means increased accessibility. I also don't generally see more functionality as a good thing. Like, e.g. i find Blender really hard to use because it has too many functions. Whereas i do like smaller codebases because they're simpler and easier to understand, compile, or modify, which are priorities for our particular computing setup.
