I just deleted and reinstalled Toot!.app, and it’s still giving me 3+ sec. latency on opening the compose view and typing the first letter 
is nobody else seeing this?
I know the developer doesn’t want to be swamped by tiny bugs and feature requests, but releasing a breaking update is a hell of a time to shut the issue tracker down
here’s what it looks like to try and post lorem ipsum text as quickly as possible. as soon as you see the toot popup at the bottom of the screen, I’m pressing buttons and keys as fast as I can: any delay longer than a quarter second is a time when I’ve tapped something and it’s stalled out.

@f0x certainly a possibility. I know it’s not doing anything it *needs* to wait for, because this started happening right after installing an update to the app, with no other changes afoot.
