#FediFoxDev new toot/account storage format is almost a 50% reduction :)
still gotta investigate storing toots (and accounts?) in indexeddb instead of localstorage
rather wasteful for bandwidth tbqh, it's convenient but I really would've expected a toot to just contain it's actual contents, with a reference to the accounts involved, and separate API routes to get information about an account
or at the very least just include the bare minimum info about an account, like username, url, displayname, avatar link. Not their whole bio lol
(every single toot response includes the full account info of the poster (and if it's boosted, that account too), so much more compact to store those separately, deduplicated across toots)
