aaaaaa i messaged parents about something important and now i’m antsy waiting for a reply

i asked them for help with something and now just i am terrified of being turned down

i sent this at 3:30pm. they saw it minutes after and still no reply :/

it followed on from a conversation we had the other day where they complained that i’m always negative and they find it hard to talk to me. when i’m just complaining about the state of the world…

so in response i said…

“okay fair enough maybe i shouldn’t let things get to me so much, but at the same time you could also help me to feel less hopeless and alone by educating family, friends, neighbours etc and ensuring they don’t vote for awful transphobes. because burying by head in the sand doesn’t do shit for my safety as a person”

the actual message was worded much much nicer but the fact i haven’t heard anything back yet makes me think it’s a no :/

like is it really that big an ask?
