I've always had it in the back of my head that I'd love to make a 4-or-so hour long film broken up with vignettes of full songs in the soundtrack with no dialogue at all during which reality is ever-so slightly twisted but not enough that it doesn't feel too out of place. Like characters hinted at but not plausibly moving to music that's not dancing, or striking un-natual poses like statues as the music plays while looking straight down the lens but otherwise the whole film is *fully* super real

It would be gloriously existential, sort of like the character's daydreaming or processing a moment in the story but taking time out away from the story unfolding, only you don't see the daydreams or what's going on inside them just a very slightly distorted and distant external glimpse of it or something. I don't know m8

Like they'd be scenes that are basically just moving photographs to music that go on for literally minutes. Art innit. Critics will fall into the "this is boring as shit" and "I am in love" categories over it I'm sure

You know how like music is normally used to compliment a scene, I guess in this film that lives in my head whenever there is music it's fully drowning everything else for a bit where the visuals take a distant and everso slightly surreal back seat then it snaps back to reality with no music at all

@Shrigglepuss kinda like uhh Borderlands intros do those freeze frames, but without the character text, I've always loved that effect
