can anyone tell me what's the point of keeping some drinking water taps slowly flowing at #MCH2022 ?? this isn't a crowd that follows instructions for no good reason, and I can't think of anything obvious.. . without explanation people will of course close the taps.

@uint8_t iirc hygiene. For example legionella can build up in standing water. Also a constant flow guarantees that there no buildup up residue in the pipes. That's why it's the last tap, to make sure the whole system gets flushed. (Disclaimer: I'm not a professional)

@sandzwerg @uint8_t yes this, it's also why you can drink from the separate standing sinks (with the flowing hoses) and not the ones built-in to the showers/toilets
