- partition the disk
- luks
- zfs datasets
- install bare minimum Nix with ssh authorized key
- borg extract persist volumes backup
- morph deploy from centralized config

@dumpsterqueer it's just swapping an nvme drive and adding a ram stick, what could possibly go wrong!
