@RileyStarlight ex-roommate had an Anycubic Photon Zero, the very cheapest. It worked and we did some fun prints. Resin is very stinky, and their slicer can be a bit of a pain. Other friend has very good experiences with the ELEGOO Saturn, and apparently the smaller Mars is just as good
@f0x I'm considering one with relatively large bed size (still small compared to an FDM, but for SLA it's plenty), and it has very good reviews. I understand that working with the resin is very tiresome, printing, and then having to cure and clean the part, and recycle the remaining resin and clean it all up, having to wear protective wear....
But I'm seeing that there are projects that I won't be able to tackle without an SLA, and that I think it's also a logical step after FDM. I have been amazed by the amount of resins that there are, with different characteristics (and their excessive prices...).
But it's true that I'm a little bit disappointed, for example, that the anycubic slicer only works under windows, and I have already confirmed that it doesn't start with wine, which is a big drawback. I wanted to have tried it to see if I was convinced by this software, a fundamental part to make up my mind.
