sometimes i think about how leverage was like, a mainstream US cable channel show yet the premise was literally extralegal mutual aid, it is like the literal antithesis of the huge pile of cop shit that seems to be prevalent on TV usually. plus the autistic character is actually treated with respect (and is allowed to be a woman), the hacker genius is allowed to be black, and the turbo macho tough guy is actually a model of nontoxic masculinity
