@morgan@cathode.church all throughout the series the parents of the trans character refuse to accept them, constantly deadnaming etc, and in the finale when she marries her gf the parents accidentally eat weed brownies at the wedding and suddenly name her correctly and act nice to her so everything is resolved...

the ending in general wasn't great tbh, i think they had to tie up a lot of ends because there wouldn't be a sequel, and studio influences too probably
