my print turned out suuuper well though!
those metal beams are the IKEA VIDJA lamp's internal structure, and this mechanism will replace the original connections and also hold the retrofitted ledstrips in place
designed in openscad which is both very weird but also kind of nice? idk
totally forgot to post the assembly pic hah, it fits soo smoothly
almost finished, just needs clips on the outside for ledstrip holding now
@f0x love openscad! the language is a bit weird but it's great to be able to experiment with different dimensions so easily while keeping things 'consistent'.
Already designed three pieces of furniture with it, slowly working on the fourth...
first try too btw :D
I did print 2 design ideas at once though, and and the other didn't work but I expected that anyways
