pi foundation is similar but at least they have good documentation/education stuff?
@erikk eh, pine64 shoves all the software effort to the community, and the way they do RE is rather iffy in a legal sense, which might make any work there useless (it's not proper clean-room implementation)
@f0x Well its more they are piggy bagging off the linux-suxi stuff right with the allwinner SoC stuff? (nor really read into it that deeply). But yes its a differnt approuch. One of designing a commercial product and the other approuch just shipping cheap enouch stuff that hackers will port bla to it.
@f0x The main problem with the pi foundation vs pine64 is that they are actively working with a company (broadcom) who has a horrible track record in opensource stuff. Pine64 is at least mostly RE'en drivers etc. But tbh its just all horrible.
