Looking at SuperMicro SYS-5029S-TN2, that's ~400 euros for case+motherboard+psu, needs a cpu and ram (disks can be carried over from my current setup)
@adb I do actually have an older 1U it's just not set up for anything because it makes way too much noise/is too big..
@f0x true. the 2U ones are a bit quieter but yeah still noisy
@f0x why not just get an used ProLiant G8/G9 server or so?
