@f0x eh? last time I checked double sided trains could only use the autopilot on one side, unless you manually shut one off and started the other one. have they made trains smarter lately?

@falkreon i guess they have, it counts the locomotives as one train now, and it happily goes back and forth between stations on a single line. Do have to make sure the end stations are oriented the right direction

@f0x that's fantastic news! oriented how? "out", so that the incoming train can find a "forward-pointing" station? or "in", so that the "forward exit" points to where the train should depart?

@falkreon outwards, as the orientation is only used for incoming trains to find their path to the station

@f0x got it. we've got multiple linear rail lines and it'll be *really* nice to yank out the loopbacks on the ends
