For context: This book was written by a good friend of mine, a writer and musician. He also wrote and recorded a complete album to go with the novel, it kicks ass and I play violin on one or two songs. I've worked with the guy for years now and I've made some of my best stuff for him.
The story is about a weird postapocalyptic scenario because one day, the sun stops moving and just stays in place, so everything kinda dries out on one side of the world. It's a really weird balance between dream logic and actually thought out premise and it's fucking wild.
The protagonist then has to go from Nuremberg to vienna because he needs meds and they can't make those in Nuremberg, so it becomes this bicycle roadtrip through postapocalyptic desert bavaria, and at some point, crusader knights show up, and hollow earth is also involved.
It's absolutely fucking wild and I adore it.
