@byttyrs @luna@hellsite.site It seems 'mute thread' works fine for me now, maybe what happened to us is more like mentioned in the end of https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/4983
where *new* boosts/favs will be hidden, but the old notifications from before you muted it will stay
@f0x @luna also, sure, there are scenarios where I don't want to see new replies, but most of the time it's JUST the boosts/favs on a particular thread that I don't want to see, and I want to be able to golooking for other posts through my notifications without seeing the early boosts/favs
