what kind of a demented mind makes a bluetooth game controller and maps the ABXY face buttons to joystick buttons 1/2/4/5?

okay, the final setting is SWITCH CONTROLLER MODE which seems to be the best one
ABXY is 2/1/4/3, L1/R1/L2/R2 is 5/6/7/8, Minus/Plus is 9/10, Home/Star is 13/14.
11/12 are presumably buttons my controller doesn't have
