While half-dreaming, my brain produced the thought that artificial gravity could be created by rotating space around a vessel, creating centripetal force without changing its orientation.

That sounds entirely unnecessary but it's funny

I don't even know where this thought came from tbh. My dreams were about picking up a Wii U that got sent to a fictional hotel I stayed at briefly

Wait, I remember I also met a cool mage and reunited with another, the latter of which was literally just Carmine from Solatorobo, and they each gave me athames

Even further from this random thought

This is too much brain this early. I'm too eepy to brain. I'm gonna curl up with morb :maple_morb: :blobcatsleep:

@elfi Isn't that just a trick of maths? Using your vessel as the point of reference for the system...

@Anke Maybe? I remember there being a ship that was propelled by equations in Gunbuster...

@elfi I mean, there's been a few sci-fi settings that had ships with rotating sections to make the artificial gravity for the entire thing. (Babylon 5 comes to mind because I watched that when it was new, and the titular space station had a section that rotated to provide the entire station artificial gravity)

@vapor Yeah, rotating cylinders were popular for artificial gravity, I just had the thought of rotating space itself instead
