An open hardware floppy replacement which uses a removable "disk" about 3/4 the size of a 3 1/2" floppy, that is a PCB in a 3D printed shell, containing ~2MB of serial flash. Each platform gets a drive that emulates whatever its native format might be, but they all use the same open disk design, which can be made in higher quantity, reducing the price.
Yes, it's not as convenient as a Gotek, but it's cooler. No part of retrocomputing is practical, so why not embrace it?
