If everything goes according to plan, then next release of #GoToSocial (0.18.0) will contain:
Domain block/allow list subscriptions (subscribe your instance to a list hosted remotely somewhere, and pull domain blocks and/or domain allows from that list every 24hrs or so).
Edit support.
Push notification support.
Three features that we've wanted for a while :) Quite exciting! Not sure yet when that release will arrive. Probably in a month or so, I'd guess.
I'm particularly excited about block/allow list subscriptions because they'll make it much easier for people to collaborate on moderation. Also you can feasibly upload an allowlist on something like github and have people make pull requests to add their instance to the list. Once it's added, everyone who subscribes to that allowlist will automatically start federating with the newly-added instance. Will make allowlist clusters much more practical!
@dumpsterqueer This would be an incredible boon to the fediverse, and a good reason to move away from increasingly troublesome Mastodon servers
