I'm starting to think more and more that a big secret to healthy social media use is turning off boosts for like 74% of your follows.
This of course starts weird lines of thought in my head about if "Boost with CW" behavior is a soft form of filter busting.
@trysdyn maybe a proper implementation would allow it to be blocked, but the way Website Boy is taking Mastodon means it won't be on it
More reason for fedi to move beyond mastodon
@elfi A lot of us already have. But yeah, "Boost with CW" being an actual feature where you post an activity that referneces the note would do it.
Heck the GtS API already supports this. A boost can have its own content, at least at the API design level, it just doesn't right now.
