is it a hot take to say that not every game needs to try to capture that sense of discovery you had when you were a kid? some games do it well but it feels like every notable indie game needs to have some metagame or conlang or whatever and can't just be played normally without missing out on a lot
@elfi i'm all for supplementary material, but i mean conlangs like tunic where deciphering it is required as a system on top of what's already in the game
